The other night Mike made a batch of cookies. It is a recipe we usually half (or quarter) but it had been so long since making them that we kind of forgot. So we made a full batch. Then it was my job to put the cookies in the oven. After six dozen had gone in and out, I gave up. We still have a bit of dough in the fridge and we also have this many cookies. Mike’s brother Paul was very happy—he loves to eat our cookies.

As Per Request…
There’s been a lot of request lately for updated pictures. I honestly didn’t even realize that it’s been three weeks since I’ve done these! As you can see, I’m filling out quite nicely.
Mike thinks I look like I’m holding a basketball under my shirt:
But I’m not. I just have a baby inside. Five weeks to go!
*In case you can’t tell… that picture along the side is my progression. In order, it goes eight weeks, sixteen weeks, twenty-six weeks, twenty-nine weeks, and then thirty-five weeks (this week).

Baby Update
Today we went in for an ultrasound because at our appointment on Monday, I was measuring a bit too large. We weren’t expecting to get another peek at Tennyson before he was born, so it was really nice! We found out that he is measuring a bit large, but not too extremely beastly, which makes me happy. Those things I’ve been feeling in my ribs are, in fact, his feet. Also, he has hair! I didn’t know you could see hair on an ultrasound, but we surely did, so it is nice to know he is not bald like his mom was. He also has very chubby cheeks. This picture does not do it justice. In fact, this picture doesn’t do him justice anywhere. After we got the print out, I had to ask Mike to tell me how in the world the picture was a face, because I couldn’t see it! Once he pointed it out, I kind of can, so I’ve labeled the picture for you. Also, we have a picture of his feet. But it isn’t as cute as the one we got at nineteen weeks. They just look like long white blobs. But here you go!

Arthur John Arbuthnott Stringer
This year in we’ve been trying to spend one Family Home Evening each month doing something with our Family History. This month we decided to go to the University Library and see if they had any books written by Mike’s great-grandfather Arthur Stringer who was a poet, author, and movie writer. Lucky for us we found not one book, but over a dozen! We picked out one, The Woman in the Rain to read out of tonight. Below we have a picture of the shelf with his books, a picture of the book we borrowed, and one of the poems we read.

Now THAT is love.
We got a special package in the mail yesterday. Mike had bought Sanders hot fudge!! Oh Yum. For those of you who don’t know (shame on you), Sanders is the best hot fudge in the whole entire world. When we were in the Detroit airport for a layover over Thanksgiving break, I saw a store that was selling Sanders and I was really tempted to buy some but I didn’t. Mike hasn’t forgotten how much I wanted that Sanders hot fudge and so he got online the other day and surprised me with a box with two things of hot fudge and two Sanders mugs. So tonight I got to put the fudge on my limited edition thin mint ice cream. My stomach is very, very happy.
I don’t know if there is anything in the whole wide world that can make a pregnant woman happier than ice cream and Sanders hot fudge… I really don’t.
