this is my third mother's day as a mom.
my first with little miss.
these kids have taught me a lot.
one thing i've learned recently
is that tennyson makes it hard to recover from a c-section.
because he makes it impossible not to laugh.
they've taught me to appreciate the small things.
the little cuddles and tiny yawns.
the joys of first smiles and steps.
and just how fun bubbles and tickles can be.
they've shown me that life flies by.
that babies turn into two year olds in the blink of an eye.
and that while a week of pregnancy might as well be a year,
once they show up, a week goes by in a flash.
but most of all, over the course of these three years,
i think the biggest thing they have shown me is that
i am seriously
the luckiest.
